Height to 1.2 metres. Superb variety. Strong spikes bear dark purple, almost black, star-shaped flowers. Leathery green leaves are beautifully pleated.Long lived border plant. Part sun/part shade. Winter dormant.
(Burning Bush). Year 2 plants. To 90 cms. Highly fragrant, white, 5-petalled flowers in early summer. These may take two more years to flower. They and the unripe fruit, produce an aromatic, volatile oil which may be ignited in hot weather. Sun. Rare, specimen plant and not seen in garden centres. Best planted in permanent position where you can brush past this. Winter dormant.
To 80 cms. Forms a compact mould. Long stems bear large, frilly mid to deep lilac blue blooms summer to autumn, that are ideal for picking. Sun or part shade in containers or garden. Colours may vary.
(Yellow Meadow Rue). Lovely tall variety, growing up to 2 metres in height. Large cloud-like sprays of tiny lemon/yellow flowers which are outstanding for cutting. Best staked. Useful background plant. Winter dormant.
Height to 70 cms. Stunning raspberry-purple flowers from late spring, over many months. Sun and good drainage.
