Candelabra Primrose. Rare variety. Burnt ornage flower buds open to orange flowers held in tiers on short, 30 cm, dark stems. Shorter than most Candelabra varieties. Winter dormant.
To 70 cms when in flower. Great for dry shade. Large rounded leaves with slightly scalloped edges. Spikes of creamy white flowers above foliage spring to summer. Part/full shade. Suits under trees. Ground cover.
To 30 cms in height. Rare and seldom available. Wide rosettes are composed of dark, glossy greeen, heart-shaped leaves, each highlighted by attractive lighter veins. Slender, tall purple spikes in spring, adorned with tiny white flowers. Some moisture, rich woodland soil.
Commonly called Double Primrose. Beautiful double, lavender flowers in spring. Height to about 18 cms. Some shade best.
(Giant Cowslip). To 60 cms in height. Candelabra primula and one of the last primulas to flower. Beautiful fragrant pale yellow flowers. Light shade and moist soil. Winter dormant.
