Height to about 20 cms. Toothed, 5 lobed, light green leaves. Bright pale blue starry flowers in spring. Woodland. Dormant in winter.
To 45 cms. Evergreen, resembling a Solomon’s Seal, but with snakes-skin patterns on the stem. Dark green foliage. Pendulous lemon-scented, pale greenish-yellow flowers early summer. Ground cover. Semi-shade, moist and well drained soil.
Height 30 to 60 cms. Golden, fern-like foliage. Pink Bleeding heart flowers in spring. Winter dormant.
MAY NEED COLLECTED OCTOBER ONWARDS WHILE ACTIVELY GROWING AND FLOWERING. (Bleeding Heart). To 90 cms. Clump forming, hardy perennial with fleshy roots and pale green leaves. Arching, fleshy stems produces racemes of pink flowers shaped like a locket, from mid spring to mid summer. Partial shade best, not too wet. Winter dormant.
(Burning Bush). Plants are 2 years old. Mature plants are up to 90 cms in height. Purple-mauve flowers with darker veins early summer, highly fragrant lemon scented leaves. A beautiful plant when in flower and a favourite of mine. Lovely as specimen plant where you can brush past it. Usually take 4 years to flower. Winter dormant.
