To 45 cms. This is similar to ‘Solomon’s Seal’ but has larger flowers and is evergreen. The foliage is dark green with snakes-skin patterns. There are pendulous lemon-scented, pale greenish-yellow flowers in early summer. Fast growing and clump forming, hardy perennial. Suits semi-shade and a moist but well drained soil.
(Canton fairy bells). 1 -1.5 metres in height. Dark purple stems and dusky purple leaves. Small, bell-shaped, pale ellow flowers late spring. Showy, purple berries in autumn. Clump forming. Winter dormant.
