There are about 150 different types of perennials and bulbs in the nursery including:

There are a few seed varieties and plastic labels available for sale. Visitors can obtain a printed catalogue and are welcome to wander around and enjoy looking at the variety of lines on offer. Some photos are on display or online.

To one metre +. The flowers are produced in late spring and early summer on a tall arching stem. The long slender spikes are made up of many clusters of small white flowers. Suits partial shade. Winter dormant.

(Kakabeak). Red variety. A woody legumey shrub native to the North Island, with striking clusters of red flowers. These flowers resemble the beak of a New Zealand parrot, and the plant is also known as Parrot's Beak, Parrot's Bill and Lobster Claw. An endangered species in the wild. Widely grown as a garden plant. Grows to about 2 metre high with spreading branches producing leaf stalks up to 15 cm long bearing several pairs of small leaflets.
