There are about 150 different types of perennials and bulbs in the nursery including:

  • Potted bulbs


There are a few seed varieties and plastic labels available for sale. Visitors can obtain a printed catalogue and are welcome to wander around and enjoy looking at the variety of lines on offer. Some photos are on display or online.

Primula florindae Mixed

(Giant Cowslip). Winter dormant.To 60 cms in height. Candelabra primula and one of the last primulas to flower. Beautiful fragrant scented red, orange or pale yellow flowers. Light shade and moist soil.

Tricyrtis tojen

Late flowering variety about end of march. Lavender/purple/white flowers with purple spots. Yellow at base of petals. Coded as Number 5.

Dracunculus vulgaris

Corms are 2 to 3 cms in width. (Dragon Lily). Large purple spathe and spadix. Large palmate leaves. Sun best but tolerates some shade. Winter dormant.

20 small bulbs. Species Lily. Beautiful variety with orangy yellow flowers. The reverse side of the deeply recurved petals are pink/yellow . Summer flowering. Some shade is fine. Good drainage. Winter dormant.

To 20 cms. Pretty white flowers but some have a bluish tinge. Spring flowering. Attracts bees, butterflies and moths. Sun or part shade. Suits rock garden or front of border. Winter dormant.

Helleborus x orientalis - mixed

1.5 litre pots. To about 45 cms in height. Beautiful open cup-shaped flowers that are in dark red shades. Late winter to early spring flowering. Best in part shade/woodland areas.
