Scilla monophylla
Impressive.To 30 cms. Species for rock garden/lawns/pots. Ribbon-like leaves, often shiny. Bell-shaped bright blue flowers 1-2 cms long, gathered in numbers up to 20 in sparse racemes. Moist, well drained soil. Planted 5-8 cms deep, in sun/partial shade, in late summer/autumn. Leave undisturbed for a few years.  Winter dormant bulb.

Scilla peruviana
3 large bulbs - have flowered. Clump-forming, semi-evergreen, bulbous perennial with a cluster of lance-shaped, mid-green basal leaves and racemes of nodding, deep purple-blue flowers late spring/early summer. Semi evergreen, depending on where you live. Suits sunnny place and good drainage. Easy.

Scilla ramburei
A dwarf, showy species related to Scilla verna but far more vigorous with about 25 attractive 1cm flowers, each with a single bract, crowded into a spike above the narrow, inconspicuous leaves. Most well-drained garden soils which are suitable for bulbs and grows well here outside in a sunny raised bed. Winter dormant.

Scilla verna
To 15 cms. Star-like blue flowers in spring.The flowers grow in a dense cluster of two to twelve at the top of the upright stem. Naturally found in short dry grassy areas, usually near the sea. Ideal in a pot or at the very front of a raised alpine bed. Winter dormant.
